Driven by Design was produced in true luxurious Trump fashion. In the space of a week Texas Graphic Resources was able to produce and deliver the books to Dubai for an exclusive launch party given by Donald Trump, Nakheel and Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Trump International Hotel & Tower proposal book, designed by Seventh Art Incorporated was named the grand prize winner of the second annual Mohawk i-Tonies digital print competition.

The stunning oversized photo book was printed on Mohawk Kromekote IN-fusion CS2 12pt on an HP Indigo 5000. All sheets were then silkscreen UV coated. The custom bindery was designed in-house as a way to maximize the usage of a single sheet.

The Mohawk i-Tonie awards celebrate the art of digital print production. Eligible entries are those that are produced with an HP Indigo press on Mohawk papers for HP Indigo. The jury for this year’s competition was Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus from RIT; Todd Kalagher, President of Finlay Printing; Bill Garno, Director of RIT’s Printing Applications Laboratory; and Brett Traylor, Partner of Thinkso Creative in New York City.

Mother Daughter: Posing As Ourselves, a Black and white photo journal depicting the same mother and daughter over the course of five years, which we previously wrote about here. Mother Daughter was printed on Mohawk Superfine Digital with i-Tone Eggshell White, by Rochester Institute of Technology Cary Graphic Arts Press, using the HP Indigo with custom gray inks to reproduce fine highlights, sensuous midtones and rich shadow areas. The book was designed by Cary Graphic Arts Press In-House  for authors Elaine O’Neil and Julie Hess.

Designed by Mintz & Hoke for Carl Talley Photography, elemenTALLEY is the photographer’s promotional brochure filled with fragile, mechanical, squishy, close up, detailed, and amazing imagery. elemenTALLEY  was printed on Strathmore Writing Wove, Digital with i-Tone, by Finlay Printing.

The Coca-Cola Company’s Live Positively Magazine regarding making good things happen in communities everyday around the world, also received honorable mention. Designed by Son & Sons with content by ignition, Live Positively Magazine was printed on Mohawk Options Digital with i-Tone, 100% PC White by Bennett Graphics.
