His looks were devastating. His charm was legendary. His Legacy is astonishing. Paul Newman is an American icon that left a legacy of brilliant screen performances. This book was part Paul Newman: The Tribute Collection, a DVD box set released by 20th Century Fox. Designer Mick Hodgson, Ph.D. A Design Office, and Fox’s creative director Lyn Bradley trawled the Fox vaults for as many unpublished photos as they could find to use in the book.

Hodgson said that finding images from the bigger box office films like Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid was easy, but finding previously unpublished photos from some of the “smaller” films wasn’t easy.

“I had a good feeling about this one from the start” Newman is quoted as saying about his legendary performance in “The Hustler”.
The book was printed on Mohawk Via. A request by 20th Century Fox after seeing the results of a previous book Hodgson printed on the paper. “I l0ve the way Via prints, the way it slightly softens everything. And 4-color looks amazing on it,” Hodgson said.
