Once again Paul Stamas, Mohawk’s Vice President of IT, has led the company’s IT efforts to award winning status. CIO Magazine has named Mohawk as a recipient of its 20102 CIO 100 Award, and Stamas himself has been named as winner of the SearchCIO-Midmarket.com 2012 IT Leadership Technological Advancement award.
“Paul’s technology operations initiatives have allowed us to create seamless selling experiences for all customers, whether they’re merchants, printers or small businesses. What has happened behind the scenes over the last few years has really put us way ahead of everyone else. This is no easy task. And the unsung heroes in this is the IT group. It’s great to see Paul and his team receive this level of recognition for the work that they do,” said Mohawk Chairman & CEO Thomas D. O’Connor.
The CIO 100 Award, now in its 25th year, celebrates the top 100 innovative organizations that are using IT effectively to deliver genuine business value. According to Maryfran Johnson, editor and chief of CIO magazine and events, the 2012 winners provide an outstanding example of the transformative power of IT to drive everything from revenue growth to competitive advantage. Complete coverage of the 2012 CIO 100 awards will be online at CIO.com on August 1, 2012 and in the August 1st issue of CIO magazine.
The SearchCIO-Midmarket.com IT Leadership Technological Advancement award is given to a leader whose technological advancement supported top-line revenue or sustainable business value. Stamas who was named the 2012 winner received a perfect 30 out of 30 score from the judges in the Technological Advancement category, a rare score to obtain.
