At Mohawk, we’re always on the lookout for great work on our papers. Luckily we get to see a lot of it come in as entries into the Mohawk Show, such as the Tommy Bahama 2009 Holiday catalog — a colorful piece full of island inspired lifestyle wear that reminds us that summer isn’t too far away. In fact, it feels more like a photo album of a summer vacation than a clothing catalog.
The man behind the clothing line, Tommy Bahama, is actually a fictional character created in 1992 by Tony Margolis, Bob Emfield, and Lucio Dalla Gasperina to personify the relaxed mood, soft breeze, and warm beaches that comprise island living. Using “What Would Tommy Do?” as their guiding principle, the trio designed a successful brand of island-inspired clothing and accessories for men and women, which has since branched into a small chain of restaurants and a line of rum.
Designed in-house and printed by ColorGraphics, the Tommy Bahama Holiday 2009 catalog features stunning photography on Mohawk Superfine.
